Family and Friends


Your family and friends are encouraged to visit. However, only two (2) visitors at a time are allowed in your room. General visiting hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special visiting hours are established for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Obstetric Department (OB). Please ask about these visiting hours at the nurse’s station.


When a child or seriously ill family member is hospitalized the hospital will provide a sleeper chair without charge, if available, for one family member who desires to stay overnight.


A meditation chapel is located on the main floor. You, your family and friends, are welcome to use this place of quietness and prayer.


You will find our cafeteria on the lower level of the hospital. It is listed in the elevator as (LL).

The cafeteria offers breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

The Park Avenue Café offers their “Made To Order” menu on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Please click here for the available menu and the cafeteria hours.

There are vending machines in the cafeteria, second floor waiting room and a pop machine is located on the fourth floor of the Physician’s Building (Medical Office Building) by Human Resources. Candy and snacks are also sold in the gift shop.


A lovely gift shop, operated by Auxiliary volunteers, is located in the Main Lobby and is open during the following hours:

  • Weekdays: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Evenings: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.*
  • Weekends: 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. & 6:30 – 8:30 pm.*

*When volunteers are available.


A waiting area is available for families of surgical patients.


The Perry Memorial Hospital staff and volunteers are here for your service. The important little extras are also part of their job. Gratuities or tipping are neither expected nor permitted, and we earnestly request adherence to this policy. We genuinely appreciate the opportunity to serve you and assist in your good health.
